Jeffrey has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1968. He is admitted in California and the U.S. District Courts of California, New York, Florida, and Texas.

He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Century City Bar Association, San Fernando Valley Bar Association, and Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles.

Jeff has served numerous times as Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles Courts. He has been a lecturer and taught Continuing Legal Education Seminars on Technology and Deposition Skills for Thomson-Reuters and The Rutter Group.

In addition to his civil litigation practice, Jeffrey has served as a voluntary mediator with the Los Angeles County Bar Association, including handling mediations and arbitrations of attorney-client fee disputes. He is a member of the crash settlement team VSC for the San Fernando Valley Bar Association.

Jeff has represented numerous Insurance Companies in all subrogation matters including United Services Automobile Association, State Farm and Allstate Insurance Company as well as USA Gas, Enterprise Rental and Ruan Leasing. Jeff is extremely versed in complex subrogation matters relating to product liability, uninsured motorist, property and casualty claims.

Jeff has a comprehensive practice focusing on Estate Planning, Personal Injury and all types of Business Litigation.

Throughout a legal career that has spanned more than four decades, Jeffrey Karpel has operated under the principle that the client's interests and needs are of utmost importance.

His hobbies include traveling extensively to Third World countries and metal sculpturing.
