$2.5 Million Cocaine Stash Found in Big-Rig Trailer

The L.A. Times reports that police found $2.5 million of cocaine stashed in the floor of a big-rig trailer in the San Fernando Valley. Law Enforcement discovered the drugs after they arrested two men yesterday at the corner of Foothill Boulevard and Paxton Street. Police found the trailer several blocks away in a storage yard. LA County firefighters helped undercover police officers cut open the hidden compartment, revealing 100 kilos of the drug. Law Enforcement originally thought the trailer was empty.

After inspection, law enforcement discovered a patch of smeared grease covering welding marks on the floor, after which firefighters worked for more than an hour to open the hidden compartment. Drug crimes are serious offenses – especially when they involve large quantities of a controlled substance.
