Unlike many cities, Santa Clarita does not have an imposing courthouse built from marble and decorated with stone sculptures. As is the case with most of the governmental buildings in this city, you could easily mistake the Santa Clarita courthouse for any other office building. The fact that the courthouse is located on a curve in the road makes it even easier to miss it. The easiest way to get there from the 5 freeway is to take the Magic Mountain Parkway exit and right into town. Turn right again at the intersection with Valencia Boulevard, and then turn right into the first parking lot. The courthouse is located at 23747 West Valencia Blvd.

The courthouse in Santa Clarita is open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays. There is no cafeteria or other food service in the building, but there are shopping centers nearby in both directions on Valencia, as well as the food court at the Westfield Valencia Town Center shopping mall, which is within walking distance. Another fact which sets the Santa Clarita courthouse apart from others in the Los Angeles Superior Court system is the free parking which is available in the parking lot outside the building. If you plan to use public transportation the Santa Clarita Metrolink station is 2.5 miles down the road, and local bus service is available through Santa Clarita Transit.
